Wiro-Bound books are an ideal alternative to saddle-stitched and perfect bound books.

They are typically used for reports or manuals because of their ability to lie perfectly flat once opened, or even be folded back around upon itself.

A great example would be for cook-books, where the user needs the book to stay open perfectly flat.

Another benefit is that different papers and materials can be much more easily mixed in when wire-binding a book. This can be particularly useful when you want to mix in heavier papers and cards, for example for using tabs within your book.
